Synopsis

Different techniques and philosophies exist regarding reconstruction of complex, acquired oral and maxillofacial defects. Often, practitioners are not aware of the full range of reconstruction options available. In addition, technology is continually evolving, making it important for the clinician to stay abreast of current techniques. Two experts in oral and maxillofacial reconstruction will present an update on the current state of maxillofacial reconstruction techniques. Following this, an expert panel will be presented with a variety of a cases that illustrate the full spectrum of defects, and will present their thoughts on the best reconstructive options. Audience participation will be encouraged.
