    Synopsis

    This program will discuss the serotonin syndrome, a potentially life-threatening reaction that appears to be on the rise. Diagnosis, management, and prevention will be discussed, including medications that give rise to this syndrome. Members of the AAOMS Committee on Anesthesia will discuss anesthesia office evaluation requirements, and other issues.

    Learning Objectives
    1. Identify signs and symptoms of serotonin syndrome.
    2. Discuss the criteria for diagnosis and management of serotonin syndrome.
    3. Comply with AAOMS requirements for office evaluations.
