Synopsis
Digital dentistry is a scientifically proven methodology to restore teeth. Recently the technology has been utilized in implant dentistry to allow for fabrication of study models and final models, enabling implants to be restored without impressions. This course will demonstrate how to implement and market this technology in the oral and maxillofacial surgery practice.
Learning Objectives
- Describe the science supporting digital dentistry, its application to implant dentistry, and its implementation into an OMS practice.
- Discuss the importance of implant dentistry and the vital role surgeons have in implementing the technology in implant dentistry.
- Describe digital implant dentistry, CBCT and 3D treatment planning, and CT-based guides and how these technologies aid in treatment planning, successful surgeries, and practice growth.
