Synopsis
This course offers a complete review of the surgical treatment of partial and complete ankylosis from initial resection through physical rehabilitation with particular attention to anesthetic considerations, bleeding complications, and choices of reconstructive systems. Arthritic, traumatic and pathology cases will be discussed.

- Describe the principles of surgical treatment of the ankylotic tempormandibular joint.
- Employ techniques that will prevent anesthesia, bleeding and rehabilitative complications in the ankylosed patient.
