    Synopsis

    Perioperative management of patients with respiratiory complications, including asthma, negative pressure pulmonary edema, and methhemoglobinemia, will be discussed.

    Learning Objectives
    1. Discuss the perioperative risks of asthmatics in office anesthesia and evaluate this disease preoperatively.
    2. Discuss the management of both minor exacerbations of the disease and severe episodes in the office.
