Synopsis
Dentoalveolar surgery is the mainstay of most oral and maxillofacial surgery practices. This clinic will review contemporary techniques from coronectomy to apical surgery to surgical molar uprighting, with a focus on case presentations and clinical techniques.
Learning Objectives
- Describe techniques to reduce the incidence of inferior alveolar nerve injury with third molar extractions.
- Demonstrate use of the ultrasonic device to prepare the apical aspect of teeth and the contemporary root apex filling materials available.
- Describe the procedures for surgical uprighting of impacted teeth.
