    Synopsis

Dentoalveolar surgery is the mainstay of most oral and maxillofacial surgery practices. This clinic will review contemporary techniques from coronectomy to apical surgery to surgical molar uprighting, with a focus on case presentations and clinical techniques.

    Learning Objectives
    1. Describe techniques to reduce the incidence of inferior alveolar nerve injury with third molar extractions.
    2. Demonstrate use of the ultrasonic device to prepare the apical aspect of teeth and the contemporary root apex filling materials available.
    3. Describe the procedures for surgical uprighting of impacted teeth.
