Synopsis
The adoption of CBCT has been rapidly growing. Effective January 1, 2012, the US Congress passed a law that required all facilities that bill for the technical component of a CT scan to be accredited by one of three designated agencies in order to bill Medicare and Medicaid. Most commercial medical payers are adopting this position. This seminar will review the rationale, process, and outcome of the office accreditation for CBCT.
Learning Objectives
- Evaluate the accreditation options and complete the process.
- Advance the scope of your practice to be in compliance with current billing standards.
- Draft policies and procedures that improve patient care and safety.
